National Agencies Meeting in Bucharest

The Future is Coming! On the occasion of the Romanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the local national agency invited all its European counterparts to sit around the same table and discuss, share and consolidate their views on the European education and training and youth programmes for the period 2021-2027.

Movetia was invited to Bucharest, enabling it to take part in the discussions and follow the latest developments in the process of co-creating the European programmes. The European Commission is facing a great many challenges in putting in place Erasmus 2021-2027 and the European Solidarity Corps initiative. It hopes to facilitate a broad consultation of the national agencies on the future of mobility and cooperation activities. The emphasis of this meeting was on themes such as administrative simplification, digitalisation, inclusion and the environmental impact of the programme.

Movetia’s participation in this meeting also enabled valuable contacts to be made with numerous national agencies in Europe. This networking work makes it possible to stay in touch with European initiatives, while at the same time informing our opposite numbers about the opportunities offered by the Swiss programme for Erasmus+.
