The collaboration between Movetia and Swiss universities/higher education institutions (HEIs) is important for the successful implementation of programmes for mobility and cooperation. This year too, two workshops were held on the possibilities for exchange and mobility at tertiary level.

Ten people from universities/HEIs took part in this year’s events in Solothurn and Lausanne. They all carry out mobility and cooperation projects at their institutions and are in daily contact with students who are planning a period abroad. The participants have been informed about the wide range of programmes and initiatives offered by Movetia: the Swiss-European Mobility Programme SEMP and the Erasmus+ Cooperation Projects for the Promotion of Innovation, the International Pilot Programme for Worldwide Cooperation and the National Teacher Exchange. In addition, the historical and political backgrounds and the development of the programmes were also discussed.

The exchange between Movetia and the International Relations Offices of higher education institutions is very important for institutional collaboration and contributes to the joint successful implementation of the programmes. The workshops play their part in this by providing the opportunity for an in-depth examination of the programmes, clarification of questions and open discussion.

This year, the workshops were also attended by representatives of: HEP Vaud, Haute école spécialisée de Suisse occidentale, Institut de hautes études internationales et du développement, Zürcher Hochschule der Künste, Universität Zürich, Staatsunabhängige Theologische Hochschule Basel and Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz.

Thank you very much indeed to all the participants for the exchange of views and ideas in a relaxed atmosphere!
