A cooperation between two partner institutions is the basis for all applications for funding. Normally, it is the sending institution’s responsibility to organise mobility projects while the receiving institution is in charge of arranging teaching assignments at primary or lower secondary schools.
To reinforce reciprocity in mobility, a single institution should both send enrolled students on a teaching assignment in another language region of Switzerland and receive students from a partner institution by arranging a teaching assignment for them. During the pilot phase, in particular for the 2019 call for projects, an institution can only assume one of these functions (send or receive/arrange) and apply for funding for this one function.
Any institution that either sends students on a teaching assignment and/or arranges assignments should submit their own funding application to Movetia. All Swiss teacher training institutions that are recognised by the Swiss Conference of Cantonal Ministers of Education (EDK) are eligible to apply.
Applications for funding can be submitted once a year. Granted teaching assignments may take place between 1 June and 30 September of the following year. Applications for funding can be submitted online from mid-March until 15 April 2019.
The application should be submitted online via my.movetia.ch.
In order to complete an application, there needs to be a cooperation agreement in place between the partner institutions.
