Tertiary-level A and B institutions can apply for funds for student and staff mobility projects in Erasmus+ programme countries. All Swiss universities (higher education institutions) and professional colleges officially accredited by the SERI and that fulfil the quality criteria of the ERASMUS University Charter are eligible to apply.
1. Step: accreditation
Institutions that have not acquired a University Charter under the Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP) can apply for a Quality Certificate (SEMP Charter) for the Swiss-European Mobility Programme.
2. Step: submitting project proposal
Applications for funding can be made once a year for mobility projects from 1st June until 30th September of the following year.
With the accreditation, the tertiary-level A and B institutions gain access to the password-protected website for the International Relations Offices of Swiss universities. This is where IRO employees can find all the necessary documents and information for carrying out the SEMP.
Mobility opportunities between universities (Student Mobility for Studies and Staff Mobility for Teaching) within the framework of the Swiss-European Mobility Programme must be based on an inter-institutional agreement between the partner universities. The partner institutions in the Erasmus+ programme countries must have a valid Erasmus+ Charter.
