School Exchange Partnerships offer the possibility, to realize class exchanges between different schools in Europe and to work together in a project. In addition to meetings between groups of pupils, school partnerships also enable long-term stays of pupils and teachers at partner schools.
All programme countries under Erasmus+:
Public and private schools from nursery school to high school / upper secondary school can participate.
A project can last 12 to 24 months.
Exception: Projects including long-term mobilities for pupils and teachers can last 12 to 36 months.
The participation of Swiss schools in project meetings abroad and the participation of partner schools in meetings taking place in Switzerland receive support in the form of flat-rate travel and subsistence allowances.
Additional funding can also be requested to cover the costs associated with the participation of people with special needs.
Support is available to cover the Swiss school’s project management expenditure in the form of a flat-rate allowance that is adapted to the duration of the project.
Long-term stays for students and teachers at a European partner school are also supported within the framework of school partnerships through travel and subsistence grants.
A Swiss school is planning an exchange project with European schools. A School Exchange Partnership must bring together a Swiss school and at least two other schools from two different countries. Swiss schools can participate as associated partner in a project supported by the Erasmus+.
This means: One of the partner schools from an Erasmus+ programme country coordinates the project and submits the grant application to its national agency. At the same time, the participating Swiss institution submits its request for financial support to Movetia.
You may find links to find a partner school in the document Partner Search (only in German).
