Strategic partnerships are longer-term cooperation projects aimed at promoting innovation in the education and youth sectors. A variety of activities may be engaged in within these partnerships to achieve a shared body of results for the participating organisations or institutions.

Cooperation projects

A distinction is drawn between three types of project:

  • strategic partnerships supporting exchange of good practice with the aim of developing and strengthening networks. These are less extensive projects.
  • strategic partnerships supporting innovation, leading to innovative results and/or stepping up the dissemination of innovative products. These are more extensive projects, which generate intellectual outputs.
  • transnational youth initiatives are collaborations between youth organisations or informal groups of young people from different countries. Youth initiatives enable young people to put their own project ideas into action.
