In August, 20 students from the baccalaureate school in Wohlen (canton of Aargau) were the first Swiss participants to welcome their exchange partners from the Indirapuram Public School in Ghaziabad, India.

The Swiss-Indian Classroom programme allows young people to take their first steps in international project management, practise their English and discover another culture. This academic year, Movetia and the Stiftung Mercator Switzerland are funding five class exchanges between Swiss baccalaureate and general education schools and Indian schools as part of the programme. In August, 20 students from the baccalaureate school in Wohlen were the first Swiss participants to welcome their exchange partners from the Indirapuram Public School in Ghaziabad. Over 12 days, participants worked together on a project entitled ‘Young People Against Discrimination and Intolerance’. The students from Wohlen also introduced their guests to Swiss culture. Read about this rewarding experience in a report from the Wohlener Anzeiger (in German).
