Offering your staff a continuing education and training opportunity abroad means contributing to their personal and professional development. It also creates an international network of contacts that adds a new dimension to your institution. Mobility projects involve completing job-shadowing periods, continuing education and training (lectures, seminars, conferences, etc.) or teaching assignments abroad for the staff of adult education institutions.
The institutions and their staff benefit equally from the European Mobility Adult Education programme: with observation periods abroad (job shadowing), CET in the form of courses, seminars, conferences or teaching assignments in Europe, adult education institutions can make a contribution to the professional and personal development of their staff and set up an international network of relationships.
The programme is aimed at the staff of adult education institutions, i.e. at teachers, trainers, instructors, educationalists, heads of education institutions, advisers, extra-curricular activity organisers, etc.
The programme is for the staff of adult education institutions: teachers, trainers, educators, those in charge of educational structures, advisers, organisers of socio-cultural activities, etc.
Adult education institutions based in Switzerland, which have developed and planned a CET project for their staff, can submit a funding application for it up until the stipulated submission deadline.
Individuals cannot submit funding applications.
CET activities relevant to an occupation fall within the “Vocational Education and Training” category.
Institutions entrusted with the coordination of various adult education institutions can form a consortium with at least two of the education institutions coordinated by them. In this case, the coordination centre submits the project in the name of all the consortium partners.
Interested parties should contact the head of the school or the person in charge of CET in the organisation employing them.

Movetia offers financial support for projects. In addition the “Adult Education” team will gladly assist you and advise you on working out projects and answer any questions. You can also contact us for individual advice.
The funding of mobility projects is based on flat-rate contributions for specified categories of grants: the approved funding contribution depends on the duration of the mobility project, the planned activities, the destination country and the number of participants. Further details on the financial contributions can be found in the table of grants (in german).
One of the most important tasks an applicant has to do before submitting the project is to organise partner institutions in the destination country of the mobility. Movetia does not operate as placement service, nevertheless Movetia assists in an advisory capacity. In order to exchange and share ideas, information and experiences with the partner organisation(s) on site, a request for funding for preparatory visits can be submitted before submitting the application.
The financial support for preparatory visits consists a flat-rate allowance for travel costs and a flat-rate allowance for the costs of the stay.
