All in Exchange – Everyone is participating!
Movetia invites you to this year’s annual youth event to find out how youth work and exchange projects can be made accessible to a wide audience and to explore the benefits of exchange and cooperation. The event on 19 June 2024 at 11:00 am at Stellwerk Bern will focus on exploring new approaches and methods as well as networking.

During the morning, we will hold a dialogue on best practices and shared challenges in exchange projects in cooperation with beneficiaries. In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to choose from one of the focal topics “Inclusion”, “Participation” and “Project development”. Using practical examples, we would like to show you how you and your organisation can actively involve a broad spectrum of young people in your projects and structure them. Find out how you can start or expand your cooperation with Movetia!

There will also be the opportunity to learn from each other, share project examples and engage in dialogue through moderated networking. Catering will of course be provided. Those attending in the afternoon are also welcome to join us for lunch.

All in Exchange is aimed at all those active in youth work, from young volunteers to experienced professionals. Participation is free of charge. The event will be held bilingually in German and French.

The event location is barrier-free. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns regarding the location or other special needs (e.g., sign language interpreters). We will try to find solutions in any case and to facilitate your participation in the event. Contact: youth@movetia.ch.

We look forward to your registration!

• Inclusion: Asmaa Dehbi, University of Fribourg and Institute New Switzerland (INES)
Workshop on anti-racist youth work:
What are the structural challenges of racism? How do I recognise discriminatory situations? What strategies can I use to actively organise youth work that is critical of racism? This focal topic delves deeper into the topic of inclusion and is intended to provide food for thought as well as new practical guidelines.

• Participation: Veronika Reiser, Lukrecija Kranz, Kinderdorf Pestalozzi
The participation of young people in society is a central concern of youth work in Switzerland, and the involvement of young people in all project phases is a basic condition for the organisation of projects supported by Movetia. This focal topic presents possibilities for youth participation in different contexts and provides inspiration for implementing them.

• Project development for beginners – non-formal learning: Francesca Albanello, Léa Kolzer, Movetia
This focal point is aimed at those interested in learning more about Movetia’s youth mobility programmes and the planning and implementation of an exchange project. An overview of Movetia’s existing programmes will be followed by a discussion of non-formal learning and various project implementation options.
