No less than 25 representatives of Swiss institutions of higher education took part in the annual Swiss-European Mobility Programme (SEMP) seminar. A great opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences!

Every spring, the Higher Education team organises a seminar for new employees who are responsible for SEMP at a Swiss university or college. The seminar is also open to those who wish to review the basics of the programme and learn more about the new features for the call 2021.

Exchange and networking

The event took place on one morning in three online sessions – one seminar was held in German and two were held in French. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the details of the programme and ask all of their questions. “The objective is to allow individuals working with the same programme at different institutions to share their experiences. It can be helpful for participants to hear that their colleagues have the same questions they do,” said Leslie Hansen and Héloïse Perrin, the organisers of the seminar.

A virtual event for more exchanges

The seminar was already held online in 2020 due to the pandemic. The format appears to be popular with participants: even more signed up in 2021 than in 2020. The flexibility and the time savings offered by the virtual meeting make it more attractive.

Representatives from the following higher education institutions participated in the event:

  • College of Education Grisons (PHGR)
  • EHL Swiss School of Tourism and Hospitality (SSTH)
  • University of Zurich
  • Bern University of Applied Sciences
  • University of Geneva
  • University of Lausanne
  • EPFL
  • Bureau des Echanges Linguistiques BEL – Valais
  • Haute école pédagogique du canton de Vaud
