The results are out! Congratulations to Amanda Crameri, Head of Division Higher Education and member of the management team at Movetia, for being elected as a member of the European Collaborative Programmes Expert Community. From autumn 2020, Switzerland will be represented within the European Association for International Education (EAIE), one of the most influential operators with regard to enhancing the international dimension of higher education.

This spring, from 6 to 24 April 2020, the EAIE organised an election among its members with a view to renewing the composition of its official bodies. No fewer than 130 members of the EAIE ran for office. After three weeks’ voting, 84 people from 22 different countries were elected to a total of 76 posts.

Elected representatives in Switzerland

Several Swiss actors in the field of higher education were in the running to join the European Collaborative Programmes Expert Community including, in particular, Amanda Crameri, a specialist in the field of international mobility. The successful Swiss candidates also include Andrea Wehrli, Law Professor at Bern University of Applied Sciences for the Language and Culture Expert Community as well as Erich Thaler, Head of the “Global Networks and Partnerships” Unit at the University of Basel to lead the Cooperation for Development Expert Community.

Their election is excellent news for Switzerland and its representation in discussions relating to international mobility and cooperation.
