From local expert to global player: innovative institutions can support their learners, recent VET graduates, VET professionals or their teaching staff in a targeted way with a period abroad (in Europe) – linguistically, professionally, culturally, socially.

For innovative institutions with international links

During a vocationally-oriented period spent in a European host company, learners, recent VET graduates, VET professionals and teaching staff can gather valuable experience in an international atmosphere. Training enterprises, associations, vocational schools and other VET-oriented organisations benefit from the language, vocational, cultural and social skills that their learners and experts have acquired abroad. In this way, both sides can contribute to up-to-date vocational education and training.

Who can take part?

  • VET learners and recent VET graduates can complete VET traineeships (work placements) in a European host company. VET graduates: start within a year of completing a VET programme.
The length of stay is from 2 weeks to 12 months (max. 360 days).
  • VET professionals and teaching staff can do an exchange regarding initial and continuing education and training questions, networking, project development or job shadowing. The length of stay is from 2 days to 2 months. Funding does not cover continuing education and training courses.

Who can submit an application?

Mobility projects of business enterprises, associations, vocational schools, intermediate technical and vocational schools and upper-secondary specialised schools, cantonal authorities and municipalities or other VET-oriented organisations (public or private) can financially be supported by Movetia.
